Check a claim
Pick two months (or click an idx: ID anywhere in the app). The change is (later ÷ earlier − 1) × 100, the way the arena computes it. Blue shading: a window the arena accepts; yellow: one it calls irrelevant.
✓ The arena accepts this window (≤ 12 months apart, ends within the last 12 months of the data).
Copper notation for cables and motors (derived) changed +47.7% from 2025-09 to 2026-09 (idx:CU-NOTATION@2025-09, idx:CU-NOTATION@2026-09).
Type the % someone claims for this window (ours or a supplier's). The arena verifies within ±0.5 percentage points.
Claims made with this index in our runs
Supplier claims are checked here against the data; ours carry the arena's verdict from the supplier's reply. Identical claims across runs are merged.

Index clauses
A clause moves the price with the index: P = P0 × (1 − share + share × I / I_base), outside a deadband. Contracts that have one, and practice cases that offer one.
The price follows index CU-NOTATION: P = P0 x (1 - 0.55 + 0.55 x I(m-2) / I(base)), base = the index two months before the price year starts, adjusted quarterly on the 1st of January, April, July and October if the change exceeds 0 %.
The case expects CU-NOTATION to move +5.0 % over the contract; carrying an index clause adds a risk charge of 4 % of the indexed spend. Cost of each clause option, as a share of spend (brief: share × max(0, |move| − deadband) + share × risk):
| Option | Index move passed on | Risk charge | Total, % of spend |
|---|---|---|---|
| No clause (fixed price) | 0.00 % | 0.00 % | 0.00 % |
| share 20 %, deadband 0 % | 1.00 % | 0.80 % | 1.80 % |
| share 20 %, deadband 3 % | 0.40 % | 0.80 % | 1.20 % |
| share 20 %, deadband 5 % | 0.00 % | 0.80 % | 0.80 % |
With the index expected to rise, a clause passes that rise on to us and adds the risk charge. Take one only if the supplier lowers the base price by more than the total above.
